Hip replacement surgery is a procedure in which a doctor surgically removes a painful hip joint with arthritis/injury and replaces it with an artificial joint. It usually is done when all other treatment options have failed to provide adequate pain relief. The procedure should relieve a painful hip joint, making walking easier.
It is critical to regain mobility, range of motion, and strength following a hip replacement surgery. Physical therapy is critical to the recovery process. Apart from other exercises, our therapists will construct a regimen that may include ankle pumps, ankle rotations, and knee bends.
Pain medication, therapeutic exercise, frequent stretching, weight control, and the use of walking aids such as a cane are all helpful in the recovery process.
A drainage tube may be inserted in your bladder to assist you in going to the bathroom in some instances. You will need supervised nursing care throughout the early stages after recovery, especially to minimise wound infections.
A well orchestrated collaborative approach by various disciplines is the key to successful outcome which is what we practice at Senior Plannings. We at Senior Plannings provide for post Knee replacement rehab care at our Care Centers or at the comfort of your home.
